Still have a home phone?

You may need one for your alarm system, DirectTV links, or just the security having an old phone ring away at supper time gives you comfort. We know everyone has a cell phone, but if not, that’s OK too.

Every month, you should spend a few minutes reviewing your bill(s).

Review Your Bills

For your home phone, be sure to look for Inside Wiring, Yellow Pages, Caller ID, Call Forwarding, Special Features Packages – did you order these? Do you really need all this features?

For your cell phone, look for Ring Tone charges that you did not order. Do you have a data plan too? With most plans, you really have to watch your voice and data usage carefully. Shop around, even with your current carrier and be sure you ask them about any specials or combo packages that may save you money. Friends and Family plans do exist on most carriers – these allow you to have a top ten list of numbers you call the most – for free.
